Pride Week 2024
For Pride Week, 2024 Keurig Dr Pepper had a fun-filled week of community giving, merriment, and advocacy. We hosted Gay BINGO at our Frisco Headquarters. We made and delivered dozens of custom Pride shirts to employees so they could show their pride off.
We also volunteered to set up and facilitate Drag BINGO at the Resource Center. Resource Center is one of the largest LGBTQIA+ community centers in the United States and a leading HIV/AIDS service organization in North Texas. Established in 1983 as a grassroots response to the AIDS crisis, it has evolved over four decades into a vital pillar of the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
Today, the Center serves more than 60,000 people annually through a comprehensive range of programs, including:
Affirming Healthcare: Culturally competent primary care, mental health counseling, and gender-affirming services.
HIV/AIDS Services: Testing, prevention (PrEP/PEP), and support for those living with HIV, including a food pantry and case management.
Youth & Family Programs: Safe spaces and support groups for LGBTQIA+ youth (ages 12-18) and family-focused wellness initiatives.
Advocacy & Education: Transformative education and advocacy aimed at achieving equal rights and societal equity.
Senior Housing: Developing innovative, affirming housing solutions like Oak Lawn Place for LGBTQIA+ seniors.
Operating out of its iconic triangular Community Center on Cedar Springs and the state-of-the-art Resource Center Health facility on Inwood Road, the organization is powered by a dedicated staff and more than 1,200 volunteers. Resource Center remains committed to its vision of a society where all community members can thrive without bias or barriers.
